Training and Education

The Fraser, Ltd training department provides education and training to employees, people receiving support, families, and the community. Fraser, Ltd. offers education to address community needs and promote the independence of all people. Fraser, Ltd. provides training to team members to ensure quality services.

Children's Services employees receive specialized training on supporting children with special needs. Training is obtained during orientation and monthly in-service meetings covering specific disabilities, individualized program plans, supporting children and families, curriculum for all children, and promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Direct Support Professionals receive training through agency orientation, on-site orientation, quarterly team member trainings, and various educational opportunities that are job specific. Additional education is gained through the completion of module coursework and practicums. The modules supply information, from medication to recreations, and education for supporting people with intellectual disabilities. Support team members receive formal instruction, demonstration, hands-on learning, mentoring, and team building with peers.

Cass County Electric Cooperative Foundation awards Fraser, Ltd.’s Skill Enhancement Training program $3,000 for operating costs associate with the daily independent living activities and therapy services.
